I Love to See the Temple!

This was the first Latter Day Saint Temple erected in Canada and the first temple built outside of the United States. This temple was announced on the 27th of June 1913 and the groundbreaking was on the 9th of November 1913. It took about 10 years to complete construction and was dedicated August 26-29th 1923. The exterior is granite from Kootenai Lakes in Nelson B.C. Each stone is hand hewn. This Temple is now an Alberta historic site. It is a beautiful work of architecture and is an important building for so many members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
